Can you build and develop Arla Foods’ business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets to realize our ambitious growth plan in this region? If yes, then this is a great opportunity to grow your career within Arla Foods!

Arla MENA has developed significantly over the last years and is now one of the largest and most profitable markets and regions in Arla globally. To support our continued ambitious growth agenda, we are seeking a new Head of Strategy and Business Development (BD) to join our MENA organization. The role will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda of the MENA region and owning the leadership team’s executive agenda. In this role, you will be based out of our regional office in Dubai and reporting directly to the Head of International BD with a dotted line to SVP MENA.

Arla Foods Jobs Accelerate our position in MENA markets

Together with the MENA leadership team, you will develop and implement market growth strategies, M&A projects as well as joint ventures with local partners. In addition, you will support our general strategy agenda, just as you will drive designated projects in the area of strategic, geographic, and new category/channel expansion. You will be leading the delivery of the annual 5-year development plan and its communication across the business, and communicate with executive stakeholders globally, regionally & our partners. You would lead & support Arla’s regional efficiency program as part of the global direction.

We expect you to challenge the status quo, add ambition and drive speed and excellence throughout our business. The position offers you an excellent opportunity to further build your business development or consulting toolbox, set your mark on Arla Foods’ global expansion plans, and build a platform for a future international career.

Who are you?

You have a degree in Business/Maths/Engineering supplemented with a minimum of 3-4 years experience from a top-tier consulting firm backed by 3-4 years’ additional experience within the strategy, and business development, from the FMCG industry – or a couple of more years in consulting. You have strong analytical skills, a global strategic mindset, and a full project management toolbox that enables you to lead projects independently with limited supervision. Preferably, you have experience with Joint ventures and M&A projects from an FMCG environment in the region. Your strong regional understanding of key political/ economic players & interdependencies will be an asset to this role.

You are a skilled communicator with a positive attitude and an open mind that makes you comfortable working in an international setting where you cooperate closely with other business areas and stakeholders across cultural differences. You can work under pressure and tight deadlines. You need to have an excellent command of English and Arabic fluency would be a value add. Furthermore, we expect you to be an advanced user of the applications in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
